Maternity Portraits

The Maternity Portrait Experience includes:

• Anywhere from 1 to 3 hours of photography (enough time for 2 locations if desired.) The length of the session is based on the clients’ energy levels. Most often, we play it by ear.

• Professional hair & makeup artistry

• In-home wardrobe consultation (will be done via video call for clients outside OC)

• 1000 image credit (images are 250 each so this enough for 4 images but most people choose to apply their credit to one of the image collections below for the best value.)

• Corresponding high-resolution digital of each image purchased

• Retouching on each image purchased

• Unlimited usage rights

• Unlimited printing rights

Session Fee: 1490

Image Collections

Heirloom Collection

• 25 images of clients’ choice (comes out to approx. 120 per image)
• Includes an 8” album with acrylic cover. Baby’s first keepsake.

Total: 2990 (only 1990 after image credit is applied.)

Nostalgia Collection

• 16 images of clients’ choice (comes out to approx. 150 per image)
• Includes keepsake image box to hold 8x12 prints of each image, matted to 11x14 in your choice of black or white mats.

Total: 2400 (only 1400 after image credit is applied.)

Essential Collection

• 8 images of clients’ choice (comes out to approx. 200 per image)
• Images are printed to 8x12 and matted to 11x14 in your choice of black or white mats. No image box is included in this collection.
(See the photos at the top of the page to see an example of the variety of poses that can be accomplished in a small amount of images.)

Total: 1600 (only 600 after image credit is applied.)

à la carte images are 250 each

• Each image is printed to 8x12 and secured inside an 11x14 mat in your choice of black or white.

• The corresponding retouched high-resolution digital image is delivered alongside each image purchased.

We chose Carsten due to both her existing portfolio (shown on her website), as well as her responsiveness and overall attitude. She suggested a wide range of locations for the maternity shoot and showed us some previous work she had done there to get an idea of what we could expect. I personally do not care to have my picture taken, but Carsten was very helpful in setting scenes and poses that resulted in pictures that I actually liked. After a great maternity session, we had some family in town for the holidays and again used Carsten to take outdoor family pictures. Carsten came with a strong referral by a friend. This was our first time hiring an event photographer, so we did shop around. I got a range of quotes, but what led me back to Carsten was her flexibility and prompt follow through, she is very professional.
Carsten was on time at both venues, was patient, captured poses and candid shots, followed up with the edits as agreed upon and the entire experience was pleasant.
She got more brownie points by showing my daughter her foster kitten and we ended up adopting one through her from the shelter. My 9 year old, whose event Carsten photographed thinks Carsten is "kind, funny and one phenomenal photographer".

When we got engaged we connected with Carsten and she has been our go to photographer to capture our story. I've used Carsten Tice Photography a few different times and have always been very pleased. It can feel like a lot of pressure and kind of awkward having professional pictures taken, but Carsten is great at making you feel at ease. Most recently, she did my son's newborn photos. She had warned us beforehand that she had not done many newborn shoots before, but I trusted her and booked her anyway. I am SO glad we did!! The images she captured were truly phenomenal and I know they'll be cherished by us forever.
