This is a personal favorite location of mine. It’s in a somewhat hidden area and I stumbled upon it in 2016. I’ve been taking photos there ever since and have never seen another photographer there. That’s a BIG DEAL for making a portrait session as fun and relaxing as possible!

STUNNING!!!! It took literally years to finally get a shoot done with Carsten…Let me tell you it was absolutely worth the wait. She arrived and it was so comfortable. She was amazing with my kids (9,4&3), especially my son who was a little difficult because he isn't use to new people due to quarantine. She was able to get amazing shots and I was so happy with the selection. Once again even of my son who didn't want to take pictures. We chose Carsten due to both her existing portfolio (shown on her website), as well as her responsiveness and overall attitude. She suggested a wide range of locations for the maternity shoot and showed us some previous work she had done there to get an idea of what we could expect. I personally do not care to have my picture taken, but Carsten was very helpful in setting scenes and poses that resulted in pictures that I actually liked. After a great maternity session, we had some family in town for the holidays and again used Carsten to take outdoor family pictures. Despite the chaos of a large family and numerous requests for different personnel arrangements, Carsten again delivered wonderful pictures! We are looking forward to our second maternity session for baby #2 and I highly recommend Carsten for your professional photography needs!

Whenever Carsten has taken my picture, I'm always blown away by the results. Somehow she's able to capture the joy of the moment and preserve it within the photos. She gives good direction when it's needed. She's also good about seeing small details - like a hairband still on my wrist - that would otherwise be distracting in the final shot. Love her work!

We hire Carsten every year for family photos and she's done newborn photos for both our kids. Every time I'm blown away with the images she delivers to us. One year our son cried (what felt like) the entire time during our Xmas photo shoot. It was rough, and I was pretty sure we wouldn't get any good shots. BUT! Carsten somehow managed to capture the few moments he wasn't crying and the pictures were stunning! I don't know how she did it. Highly recommended.

Carsten came with a strong referral by a friend. This was our first time hiring an event photographer, so we did shop around. I got a range of quotes, but what led me back to Carsten was her flexibility and prompt follow through, she is very professional.
Carsten was on time at both venues, was patient, captured poses and candid shots, followed up with the edits as agreed upon and the entire experience was pleasant.
She got more brownie points by showing my daughter her foster kitten and we ended up adopting one through her from the shelter. My 9 year old, whose event Carsten photographed thinks Carsten is "kind, funny and one phenomenal photographer".

When we got engaged we connected with Carsten and she has been our go to photographer to capture our story. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and natural during our engagement session in Downtown Fullerton. We even got to bring our pup for a few shots. Even he looks like he is smiling in the pictures! Carsten also did my maternity shoot. She picked a great location that fit the look I had described to her. I'm pretty sure I remember her climbing a tree to get a shot. Next up is our family session! I know she will capture a happy, well-rested family. Our Facebook friends will envy us. Since I procrastinate on printing our photos, I like that she offers to help with that part. I've used Carsten Tice Photography a few different times and have always been very pleased. It can feel like a lot of pressure and kind of awkward having professional pictures taken, but Carsten is great at making you feel at ease. Most recently, she did my son's newborn photos. She had warned us beforehand that she had not done many newborn shoots before, but I trusted her and booked her anyway. I am SO glad we did!! The images she captured were truly phenomenal and I know they'll be cherished by us forever.
