Due to her remarkable organization, detail-oriented nature, and responsiveness, from the moment we hired Carsten we were put at ease and knew we were in good hands. Carsten is awesome! I am super camera shy and awkward and honestly was not looking forward to the engagement shoot, but she is so friendly and easy going that I immediately got comfortable. She's really knowledgeable in what will look good in a picture (pose-wise) but really good at capturing candid moments. Sure, can get cheaper photographers, but they definitely won't be as good. She goes above and beyond in terms of her editing (even going back a month later and re-editing things per our request because we wanted to see what a photo would look like a different style), making random runs on the wedding day if you forgot something, keeping everyone in the party calm during the getting ready hectic moments, taking charge when family started to butt in, and making you feel so special on your day. 10/10 would book her again.

If you are looking for someone to crystalize any important time in your life, you should book Carsten! She did a fantastic job of capturing many beautiful moments from both our wedding ceremony and reception. From the start, Carsten wanted to understand what our expectations were and what was most important to us. From there, she was very welcoming, friendly, and professional. We officially got married in December (with only family members present); then later, we had our reception in April (with extended family members and friends). Our wedding ceremony was initially planned for December 27th - but as fate would have it, it rained that day. Still, with only a few days of advanced notice, we asked Carsten if we could postpone it to the following day - and it wasn’t a problem (without any extra charges at that!) Planning a wedding proved to be a bit stressful. Still, when you are surrounded by people that you love, and then a selfless, and amazing photographer that will capture those beautiful moments forever, it’s a blessing. Our pictures looked amazing! Carsten made our special day absolutely unforgettable! ❤️ We hired Carsten for our wedding this year -- easily the best decision we made. Starting from the very beginning Carsten was very pleasant, professional, and welcoming. She had several phone calls with us prior to the event to ensure everything went according to plan. And on the wedding day, she came before time and set up everything so there would be no stress. She even stayed late to ensure all our magical moments were captured. The reception was another story. We had initially planned to do the wedding and reception on the same day. But due to rain we had to switch the date of the reception just 1 day in advance. Not only was Carsten flexible, she didn't charge us for the extra day she would have to come - and in fact she helped us coordinate everything and stay calm even as we frantically tried to make rearrangements for our guests and caterers etc. Carsten was truly a God-send in making our wedding an incredible and beautiful success. I hired Carsten precovid to do my wedding post covid. We ended up changing wedding plans like everyone else in California. We switched states and made it a smaller gathering. Carsten was the only vendor I NEEDED to still have, her talent is unmatched. She was so understanding and immediately made travel accommodations. She went over the new contract with me and was able to keep it at original quote by moving a few things and replacing it with her travel cost (she found the best rate). Even though we took off things like photo booth and second photographer (micro wedding - not necessary) I didn’t have the feeling like I was missing out on anything because of how well she manages the day of. She was with me right when glam started (10am) and stayed till 10pm when we forced her to not work another moment! She shimmied between grooms room and brides suite to capture beautiful images and lasting memories. All of these amazing qualities aside.. when we saw our photos we were shocked, they were the most stunning photos all of us (including our Marriott venue) had ever seen. Marriott even ended up using some our photos for their website. She got our finals to us in 1.5 weeks - 700+ photos edited to perfection. Then created and mailed us our professional photo album - which was included in our contract - a few months later. She’s just great at what she does and has fun doing it. We get one chance to document this moment In life and if the photographer isn’t on point - that’s what you’ll have for the rest of your life to look back on. I would choose her again in a heartbeat, for any event.

My husband and I got married in June and Carsten was our photographer. We both have friends that are professional photographers in the wedding business. We consulted with them for our decision on our photographer and they were all impressed with Carsten. After meeting few photographers, I knew right away Carsten was the one. She was warm, friendly, and professional. Carsten is one of those people when you meet them you just want to be their best friend. she is very talented and will make you have genuine smiles because she is making you laugh with her "photographer lingo" . for example: "Smell your hair" or "walk with one foot in front of the other, like a tight rope" and her reassuring you with, "I promise this will look good in the photos". You feel ridiculous and laughing, but when you see the photos you look amazing! She was also very quick getting photos back. It took 4 days to get our engagement photos, and less than a month to get our wedding photos. She also gave us a sneak peak of 12 photos the next morning after our wedding (that was so amazing).

As a bride who also works in the wedding industry, I had an interesting time trying to find the perfect photographer. We had found Carsten through one of my bridesmaids whose wedding Carsten had photographed. We loved that we were able to get a first hand account of what it was like to work with her and we just loved the photos she took of my bridesmaid’s wedding. When we reached out to her, Carsten was so friendly and easy to talk to! She was also straight forward and clear about what services she could do as our photographer and what we could expect from the different collections se had at the time. Carsten Tice came highly recommended as a photographer for our engagement pictures, and she didn't disappoint! When we started planning via email, she really made an effort to get to know me and what I was looking for. I eventually chose James Dilley Preserve near Laguna Beach - one of Carsten's recommendations - which was absolutely beautiful and perfect for any occasion!

I got engaged 3 year ago and started browsing sites for photographers. I came across Carsten & really liked her style. When I reached out for a quote she was quick to respond and friendly. I decided to book with her and she instantly took a generous amount of time to collect a variety of information about my now husband & myself.

I originally didn't want to take engagement pictures but Carsten offered a great package deal that included an engagement session. Carsten suggested booking the engagement photos, even if I didn't want them because it would give us and her a chance to get to know each other better and get a feel for shooting together in order for all of us to be more comfortable when taking pictures on the day of the wedding. I loved her suggestion and appreciated she wanted to take the time to get to know us and understand what we wanted. My engagement pictures are some of my favorite pictures, she did an AMAZING job! The wind was blowing my hair everywhere and she managed to snap amazing shots. Carsten made us feel comfortable, she was funny, and so accommodating through the entire process.

The photos speak for themselves, she's great at what she does. I loved that she had an awesome personality. She takes this business serious, has great communication, and overall is extremely accommodating (which is important to me because pictures are often the best memory). I will absolutely book her for future picture shoots and you should too!!!
